Description
58.com was founded in 2005 by Yao Jinbo, headquartered in Beijing. It is China's largest classified ads platform — often compared to Craigslist — covering real estate, jobs, cars, and local services. It merged with rival Ganji in 2015. Previously NYSE-listed, the company was taken private in 2020 by an investor consortium including Ocean Link, General Atlantic, and Warburg Pincus for about $8.7 billion.
