Description
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park is the world's largest single-site solar park, developed by DEWA south of Dubai. Launched in 2012, it targets 5,000 MW of capacity by 2030 with investment of about AED 50 billion. By 2025 over 2,600 MW was operational, with roughly 2,000 MW more under construction, including an 1,800 MW sixth phase. It combines PV panels with CSP technology, avoiding up to 6.5 million tonnes of CO2 annually.
