Description
Beilun power station is located in the Beilun district of Ningbo, Zhejiang; construction of Phase 1 began in January 1988, partly financed by a World Bank loan, with equipment imported from France and Japan. The plant comprises seven units commissioned between 1994 and 2009 across three phases (1.2 GW, 1.8 GW and 2.0 GW), reaching a total installed capacity of about 7.34 GW — China's largest coal-fired thermal power station by installed capacity.
