Description

One of the world's largest genomics companies, founded in 1999 in Beijing and now headquartered in Shenzhen; it works in DNA sequencing, genetic testing, and bioinformatics. Its subsidiary MGI develops and manufactures its own gene sequencers, and during the COVID-19 pandemic BGI became a major global supplier of PCR test kits. BGI Genomics is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
