Biryani By Kilo (BBK), founded in 2015 in Gurugram by Kaushik Roy and Vishal Jindal, specializes in dum-style biryani cooked and served in clay handis. Its hybrid model pairs flagship dine-in restaurants with a network of delivery-focused cloud kitchens; by 2023 it had passed 100 outlets across 25+ Indian cities. BBK raised over $67 million from 113 investors and was acquired by restaurant conglomerate Devyani International in April 2025.
