Description
Blue Bottle Coffee entered Japan on February 6, 2015 with its first overseas store in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa, Tokyo, drawing long opening-day queues and helping turn the district into a third-wave coffee hub. The store doubled as an on-site roastery from day one; a 2019 Schemata Architects renovation expanded seating to 47 and added district-exclusive desserts. Blue Bottle Japan has since grown to multiple cafes across Tokyo and beyond.
