Description
Manufacturing joint venture between BMW and China's Brilliance Auto, established March 27, 2003 in Shenyang, Liaoning Province; ownership was initially split among BMW, Brilliance and the Shenyang municipal government, with BMW's stake rising to 75% by 2022 and the venture extended to 2040. It builds BMW 3 Series, 5 Series, X1, X2, X3 and other models for the Chinese market and export, making it one of BMW's largest manufacturing operations outside Germany.
