Description
Bosideng (波司登) was founded by Gao Dekang in 1976 in Changshu, Jiangsu province, starting as a small sewing workshop with 8 machines and 11 workers; it survived a major down-jacket overproduction crisis in 1994. Today it is China's largest down-jacket brand, with mainland China sales reaching about RMB 22 billion in fiscal year 2023/24 (more than double closest rival Moncler); group-wide revenue exceeded RMB 20 billion (about $2.8 billion), marking seven consecutive years of growth. Products are sold in 72 countries, and since 2018 the company has shown at New York, Milan and London fashion weeks.
