Description
Founded in 2016 in Beijing by brothers Chen Yunji and Chen Tianshi, spun out of the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Computing Technology, Cambricon is a fabless designer of AI accelerator chips (the Siyuan/MLU series, MLU 290–690). Listed on Shanghai's STAR Market in 2020 as China's first dedicated AI chip stock; posted its first full-year profit in 2025 amid China's push for chip self-sufficiency.
