Description
Changying (Changchun Film Studio) traces its history to the Northeast Film Company, founded on 1 October 1945 on the site of the former Japanese-era Manchuria Film Association studio; it was renamed Northeast Film Studio in 1946 and took its current name, Changchun Film Studio, in 1955. It is China's oldest film studio, credited with producing the new China's first feature film, first animated film, first science-education film and first dubbed film — earning it the title "cradle of Chinese cinema."
