Description
CJ CheilJedang was founded in 1953 as Cheil Jedang, Samsung founder Lee Byung-chull's first manufacturing venture; it was spun off into the independent CJ Group between 1993 and 1997. It is now Korea's leading food-tech and biotech holding, home to the Bibigo brand (global sales topped KRW 1.2 trillion in 2024) and the Hetbahn instant-rice line. Its bio business covers amino acids and biopolymers. Site visits require prior arrangement.
