Founded in 1886 in Atlanta by pharmacist John Pemberton, The Coca-Cola Company is the world's largest beverage maker, selling over 200 brands — including Sprite, Fanta, Minute Maid and Costa Coffee — in more than 200 countries. It entered China in 1979, among the first Western consumer brands to do so after reform and opening, and now bottles locally through partners including COFCO and Swire.
