Description
Coconut Palm is China's largest plant-protein beverage maker, tracing back to the Haikou Canned Food Factory founded on Hainan Island in 1956. Near bankruptcy in 1985, the company was reformed under director Wang Guangxing and in 1988 developed an oil-water separation technology that became the basis of its coconut juice brand, registered in 1998. Since 1991 the drink has been an official Chinese state-banquet beverage.
