China Railway Construction Heavy Industry (中铁装备, CRCHI) was founded in 2007 as a CRCC subsidiary, headquartered with industrial parks in Changsha and bases in Zhuzhou, Kunming, Urumqi and Baotou. It is the world's largest maker of full-face tunnel boring machines, plus shield machines and drilling jumbos for metro, rail, mining and hydropower projects. CRCHI equipment has been deployed in 30-plus countries, including the US, Canada and Russia.
