CRRC Corporation (中车) was formed on June 1, 2015, through the merger of China CNR and CSR Corporation, formerly rival rolling-stock makers. The combination created the world's largest railway rolling stock manufacturer, holding over 90% of China's domestic market. Headquartered in Beijing, CRRC employs roughly 175,700 people, producing high-speed trains, locomotives, metro cars and trams, and exporting to more than 100 countries.
