Description
Didi Chuxing was founded in 2012 by Cheng Wei, headquartered in Beijing. It is China's dominant ride-hailing platform, having absorbed Uber China's operations in 2016, and also operates in Latin America under the 99 brand in Brazil. Didi listed on the NYSE in June 2021 but was soon subjected to a Chinese cybersecurity review and delisted; its app was restored in 2023, and the company has explored a Hong Kong relisting.
