Dongfang Turbine (东方汽轮机) was founded in 1966 in Mianzhu, Sichuan, and is based in Deyang. It is a subsidiary of state-owned Dongfang Electric, whose lineage traces to a 1958 plant. The company builds steam and gas turbines for coal-fired, gas-fired and nuclear power plants, plus wind turbine generator sets, making it one of China's principal power-generation equipment suppliers, serving projects nationwide and abroad.
