State-owned automaker founded in 1969 as the Second Automobile Works in Hubei Province under China's 'Third Front' industrial policy, later renamed Dongfeng Motor Corporation and headquartered in Wuhan. One of China's 'Big Three' automotive groups, it produces trucks, buses and passenger cars both under its own brands and through numerous joint ventures with Nissan, Honda, PSA/Stellantis and other foreign partners.
