Du Xiaoman Financial is the former financial arm of Baidu, spun off in April 2018 with a $1.9 billion commitment from investors including Taikang, while Baidu retained roughly 42% ownership. Based in Beijing's Haidian district, it operates in consumer credit, business lending, wealth management and payments. KPMG has ranked it among China's top-three fintech firms, having facilitated over 500 billion yuan in consumer loans.
