Description
Erdos (鄂尔多斯) traces its roots to a cashmere sweater factory founded in Inner Mongolia's Yikezhao League in 1979; the "Erdos" trademark was registered in 1988, and a 1989 CCTV prime-time ad — "Erdos cashmere sweaters warm the whole world" — made the brand nationally famous. Inner Mongolia Erdos Resources Co., Ltd. was formally established in 1995. Since 2016 the group has run a family of four brands (1436, Erdos 1980, ERDOS, erdos BLUE); the ERDOS mark has topped China's textile category on the "China's 500 Most Valuable Brands" ranking, valued at roughly RMB100.6 billion.
