Description
Fast Retailing's headquarters, the parent company of UNIQLO, sits in Tokyo's Ariake district, opened in January 2017 as the creative and corporate hub for the UNIQLO, GU and PLST brands; since then the company has also run the "Ariake Project" digitalization partnership with Google. Its Ariake logistics center, launched in 2016 with partner Daifuku, became the group's first automated distribution warehouse, cutting manual labor there by roughly 90% and enabling 24-hour operation; in 2018 Fast Retailing announced an $885 million investment to automate warehouses worldwide.
