Fiyta (飞亚达) was founded on 23 December 1987 in Shenzhen as a small enterprise called Feida Watch Industry with registered capital of just RMB 1.86 million; it is today the only publicly listed watchmaker in mainland China, trading on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange since 1993 (ticker 000026). The company covers full-cycle watch R&D, design, manufacturing and sales, has supplied specialized watches for Chinese astronauts since 2003, and has exhibited at Baselworld since 2001. In 2016 it acquired the historic Beijing Watch Factory.
