Description
Flipkart is an Indian e-commerce platform founded in October 2007 by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal in Bangalore, starting as an online bookstore. In 2018, US retailer Walmart acquired a 77% stake for $16 billion — its largest-ever acquisition. Flipkart's corporate headquarters was moved to Singapore in 2011, but in April 2025 the company announced it was relocating back to India ahead of an anticipated 2026 IPO.
