Description
Fuji Oil was incorporated in October 1950 in Osaka, backed by Itochu, taking over the Fuji Sanshi oil mill. It developed defatted soy protein 'Fuji Takaramame' in 1961 and soy isolate Fujipro for processed meats in 1966; its 1963 coating chocolate Choco Fancy founded its industrial chocolate business. In 2015 it acquired a stake in Brazil's Harald. Its portfolio spans vegetable oils, soy ingredients and industrial chocolate.
