Description

G42 was founded in Abu Dhabi in 2018, working across cloud computing, healthcare, smart cities and AI for energy and government. It is chaired by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan and led by CEO Peng Xiao. In April 2024, Microsoft announced a $1.5 billion investment with a board seat, and G42 is moving its data infrastructure to Azure. The company also co-developed the Arabic-language Jais LLM with MBZUAI and Cerebras.
