GAC Aion (广汽埃安) is an electric-vehicle maker and a subsidiary of state-owned Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC), spun off as an independent brand in November 2020. It builds EVs on its own GEP platform (models such as Aion S, Aion Y, Aion V) plus a premium sub-brand, Hyptec, and develops in-house battery ("Magazine Battery") and electric-drive technology.
