Description
China's largest privately owned automaker, founded by Li Shufu in 1986 as a refrigerator-parts maker before entering car manufacturing in 1997, headquartered in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. In 2010 it acquired Sweden's Volvo Cars for $1.8 billion and also owns the Zeekr, Lynk & Co, Polestar and other brands; by 2025 Zhejiang Geely Holding's cumulative global sales had topped 20 million vehicles, with Geely Auto alone producing over 3 million cars that year.
