Description

GoTo Group was formed on May 17, 2021 by the merger of Gojek (founded 2010 as a motorbike-taxi/ojek service) and Tokopedia (founded 2009) — Indonesia's largest-ever business combination, valued at roughly $18 billion. It went public in April 2022, raising $1.1 billion. In 2024 the e-commerce business (Tokopedia) was folded into a joint venture with TikTok Shop, with ByteDance investing $1.5 billion for a 75.01% stake, while transport, delivery (GoFood) and fintech (GoPay) remained under GoTo.
