Description
Automaker founded in 1992 as a joint venture between the Hainan provincial government and Mazda; FAW Group bought out Mazda's stake in 2006, and the company was renamed Haima Automobile in 2016, relocating headquarters to Zhengzhou. After peak sales in 2013 (over 150,000 units), its domestic market share collapsed, prompting a pivot toward exports (Middle East, Southeast Asia) and hydrogen-energy technology; it sold roughly 17,000 vehicles in 2025.
