Description

Haptik was founded in Mumbai in August 2013 by Aakrit Vaish and Swapan Rajdev, initially as a consumer chat assistant before pivoting to enterprise conversational AI. In April 2019, Reliance Jio acquired it for about ₹700 crore (~$100M), taking roughly 87% on a diluted basis. By then Haptik had processed over 2 billion interactions for Samsung, Coca-Cola, KFC and Tata Group. It now focuses on agentic AI and WhatsApp Business API integration.
