Description

Highlands Coffee was founded in 1999 in Hanoi by Vietnamese-American entrepreneur David Thai, the first private company registered in Vietnam by an overseas Vietnamese. Its first café opened in 2002 in Ho Chi Minh City. Now the country's largest chain, it holds roughly 35-40% market share with around 850 outlets across Vietnam and the Philippines by end-2024, built on a self-service, quick counter-order format centered on Vietnamese robusta.
