Admission required at least three years running a company with 30+ employees and roughly $4.5 million in annual revenue; the curriculum emphasized learning from business failure over success. Amid regulatory pressure on Ma's business empire, the school dropped "University" from its name in 2021, and Ma stepped back from leading it.
