Description

InstaShop is a MENA grocery-delivery platform founded in 2015 by John Tsioris and Ioanna Angelidaki, acquired by Delivery Hero in 2020. In 2024 its GMV reached $631 million, up 16% year-on-year. In March 2025 InstaShop was fully bought out from Delivery Hero by Talabat (itself a Delivery Hero-linked platform) for $32 million and continues to operate as a standalone brand within Talabat's grocery and retail division, serving the UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, Lebanon and Qatar.
