Description
Kikkoman is the world's leading soy sauce producer; brewing in Noda, Chiba Prefecture, dates back over 350 years, and the modern company was formed in 1917 when eight Mogi and Takanashi family brewers merged as Noda Shoyu Co. The current name was adopted in 1980. The company entered the US market in 1957 and now holds over 50% of the American soy sauce market. Its Noda plant hosts a soy sauce history museum open to visitors.
