Description
Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) is Abu Dhabi's state-owned renewable energy company, founded in 2006 and owned by ADNOC, TAQA and Mubadala. Its portfolio exceeds 65 GW of capacity in over 40 countries, targeting 100 GW by 2030. Masdar built the 2 GW Al Dhafra solar plant, the world's largest single-site solar facility at its 2023 completion, and works on floating solar and wind projects. It also developed the Masdar City eco-district.
