CP-Meiji, founded February 1, 1989 as a joint venture between Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Group and Japan's Meiji Co., opened its Saraburi dairy plant in November 1990. The company holds the number-one position for pasteurized milk in Thailand, making milk, yogurt and other dairy products under the Meiji brand, exporting to Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam, combining CP's local scale with Meiji's dairy technology.
