Description
Morinaga Milk was founded in 1917 as Nippon Rennyu and took its current name in 1949, marking its 100th anniversary in 2017. Since the 1960s it has researched bifidobacteria, isolating its flagship Bifidobacterium longum BB536 strain from an infant source in 1969, becoming a global leader in bifidobacteria research and lactoferrin production. It also develops aseptic packaging technology for enteral nutrition products.
