Overseas Chinese Town (OCT Group) is a major state-owned cultural-tourism conglomerate founded in Shenzhen in 1985 and supervised by China's State Council SASAC. The company built China's first theme park, Splendid China (1989), followed by Window of the World and the multi-city Happy Valley theme park chain. According to the group, its attractions draw about 50 million visitors annually and have received nearly 400 million visitors cumulatively, ranking OCT first in Asia among tourism operators by that measure.
