Spun off from Preferred Infrastructure in March 2014 in Tokyo by co-founders Toru Nishikawa and Daisuke Okanohara, Preferred Networks built its own MN-Core AI processor and the MN-3 supercomputer, which topped the Green500 energy-efficiency ranking three times. With ENEOS it developed Matlantis, a universal atomistic simulator for materials discovery. Key investors include Toyota and Fanuc.
