Description
Qiandama (钱大妈) traces to a first shop opened in Dongguan in 2012 and was formally incorporated in Guangzhou in 2014 by founder Feng Jisheng; it is headquartered in Guangzhou. It is a neighborhood fresh-food chain built around the slogan 'never sell meat that sat overnight' — from 7pm each day it applies escalating discounts on unsold stock. As of October 2021 the chain had more than 3,700 locations across China (over 1,500 in Guangdong province), about 90% of them franchised.
