Description
RT-Mart (大润发) is China's largest hypermarket chain by store count, operated by Sun Art Retail Group, a joint venture formed in 2000 between Taiwan's Ruentex Group and France's Auchan. As of 2025 Sun Art operates 462 RT-Mart hypermarkets, 32 superstores, and 7 membership warehouse clubs across 205 Chinese cities; Alibaba held a controlling 78.7% stake from 2020 until selling it to private equity firm DCP Capital in 2025.
