S.F. Holding, parent of SF Express, was founded in 1993 in Shunde, Guangdong by Wang Wei as a six-person courier linking Hong Kong and Guangdong; it is now headquartered in Shenzhen. Unlike franchise-based rivals, SF relies on a self-operated network of 200+ hubs, over 30,000 vehicles and its own cargo aircraft fleet (30+ planes). It listed via reverse merger on the Shenzhen exchange in 2017, reporting revenue of RMB 308.2 billion in 2025.
