Description

Shanghai Film Group (SFG) is one of China's three major state-owned film studios, tracing its roots to Shanghai Film Studio, founded on November 16, 1949, and consolidated from merged private studios into a unified state entity in 1953. It runs a full production cycle spanning filmmaking, animation, dubbing, distribution and cinema exhibition, having produced over 870 feature films and 600-plus animated works, and dubbed more than 1,500 foreign films. SFG operates under the Shanghai Media & Entertainment Group conglomerate.
