Description
State-owned steel group founded in 1919 in Beijing, one of China's oldest steelmakers. Steel production capacity exceeds 30 million tonnes annually; 2024 revenue was about US$13.4 billion with roughly 90,000 employees. Beyond steel, it has diversified into mining, real estate, and environmental technology. Its historic Shougang industrial site in Beijing was redeveloped into a park that served as part of the 2022 Winter Olympics venue cluster. A listed subsidiary trades on the Hong Kong exchange.
