Description

SMIC (Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation) is China's largest contract chip manufacturer (foundry), founded in 2000 and headquartered in Shanghai's Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, with shares listed in Hong Kong and Shanghai. It produces chips at various process nodes, including 14nm and more advanced processes, and has been placed on the US Entity List over ties to China's military sector.
