Description
Sohu.com was founded in 1996 by Charles Zhang, headquartered in Beijing. It is one of China's oldest internet portals, combining a news portal, email service, and media divisions. The company spun off subsidiaries in separate IPOs: search engine Sogou (later sold to Tencent in 2021) and gaming unit Changyou. Sohu itself trades on NASDAQ (SOHU) and today focuses on news content, video, and games.
