Sunwoda (欣旺达) was founded in 1997 in Shenzhen, starting as a consumer-electronics battery maker and becoming the world's top mobile-phone battery producer since 2020; it entered EV power batteries in 2014. 2024 revenue reached about RMB 56 billion (+17% YoY), with the EV battery unit contributing RMB 15.1 billion (+40%) on shipments of 25.3 GWh. In 2025 Sunwoda became a Tesla battery supplier and filed for a Hong Kong IPO.
