Description

Transmart is the hypermarket chain of CT Corp, the conglomerate founded by billionaire Chairul Tanjung. CT Corp acquired Carrefour's Indonesian operations, taking full ownership by January 2013, and rebranded stores from "Transmart Carrefour" to "Transmart" starting 2014, completed by 2021. It combines hypermarket retail with fashion, entertainment and dining, remaining Indonesia's largest hypermarket operator.
