Trung Nguyên was founded on June 16, 1996 in Buôn Ma Thuột by Đặng Lê Nguyên Vũ (co-founder Lê Hoàng Diệp Thảo), starting from a 2.8-square-meter roasting workshop. It grew into the Trung Nguyên Legend brand with its 'Coffee City' concept and opened the World Coffee Museum in Buôn Ma Thuột, showcasing artifacts on coffee history and culture alongside its own roasting operations in Vietnam's self-styled 'coffee capital'.
