Description
UCC Ueshima Coffee traces back to 1933, when Kobe port trader Tadao Ueshima tasted coffee at the port and began roasting beans for local cafes; the company adopted its current name in 1991 and is headquartered in Kobe. In 1987 it opened the UCC Coffee Museum, one of the world's first museums on coffee's history and culture; after a pandemic-era closure, a major reopening is planned for 2026. The company also runs roasting facility tours.
